Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for a long time. Alexandra is known for roles on Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The actress was born as the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16 she portrayed the lead part in a variety of TV dramas. Her fame was due to her portrayal on Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretariat Traudl Junge. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films featuring the diva. Alexandra's career has seen her work on a number of important national and international projects. One of these is the British biographical documentary Control, the Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and French historic miniseries Napoleon. In addition, she is an official jury member for both and the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
