Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress, who has worked in television and film, is best known for films like Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of 16, she had already been offered a variety of television roles which included the leading role in the movie Downfall Youth With No Youth Control. After her critically acclaimed role in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy roles such as Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge in Downfall.
